They didn’t shout because the walls fell. They shouted before—because the Lord said so.

Track 6: “Walls Gotta Fall” on the album Genesis Jubilee, is one of the most visually explosive and spiritually rich moments in the Old Testament. The battle of Jericho is not a victory of brute force, but of faith-fueled obedience—God’s people trusting a strange command and watching strongholds crumble.

This track should feel like a war cry of praise, but one rooted in the Gospel: it’s not how loud we shout, but who we trust that brings the breakthrough.

Lyrics

Verse 1
Seven days of walkin’, not a word to say
Feet on dust and promises, circlin’ the clay
Felt like nothin’ happenin’, but faith don’t stall
He said “walk like it’s done”—and watch the wall fall

Pre-Chorus
We don’t fight like the world fights
We don’t win by might
We believe, and we walk
Till the stone gives light

Chorus
Shout before the wall comes down
Praise like it’s already done
Grace brings the walls to the ground
Not by power—not by none
We trust the promise, walk the line
And watch His glory break through time
Faith leads the way—and the walls gotta fall!

Verse 2
Trumpets sounded like a funeral song
But we were singin’ that the war was gone
Death to fear, death to pride
The battle was won on the obedient side

Pre-Chorus
This ain’t just noise—it’s trust in the plan
We march with hope, hand in hand

Chorus
Shout before the wall comes down
Praise like it’s already done
Grace brings the walls to the ground
Not by power—not by none
We trust the promise, walk the line
And watch His glory break through time
Faith leads the way—and the walls gotta fall!

Bridge
Every stronghold, every chain
Every fortress built in vain
Falls before the risen King
We don’t fear a single thing

Shout now! Shout now!
It’s fallin’ now! It’s fallin’ now!
Grace breaks it down—
Walls gotta fall!

Final Chorus
Shout before the wall comes down
Praise like it’s already done
Grace brings the walls to the ground
Jesus won—it’s already won!
Faith leads the way—and the walls gotta fall!
Yes, the walls gotta fall!
Let 'em fall! Let 'em fall!

Devotional Reflection

Jericho’s walls were humanly impenetrable, yet they fell without a single swing of the sword—because God told His people to walk and trust, not war and strive.

The Gospel tells a similar story. We don’t overcome sin by might or strategy, but by faith in the finished work of Christ. Obedient praise, offered before we see the breakthrough, is the sound of salvation. Jesus broke down the wall between us and God (Ephesians 2:14), and now grace is our weapon, and praise is our war cry.

Let this be an anthem of bold faith, where the shout of praise is the act of surrender.

Scriptural Foundation:

  • Joshua 6 – Jericho falls after Israel marches in obedience
  • Psalm 47:1–3 – “Clap your hands... shout to God with cries of joy!”
  • Hebrews 11:30 – “By faith the walls of Jericho fell...”
  • 2 Corinthians 10:4 – “The weapons we fight with... have divine power to demolish strongholds.”
  • Romans 5:1–2 – “Through Him we have gained access by faith into this grace...”
