Crews battle early morning house fire in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton Fire crews responded to an early morning house fire Tuesday, but the fire was already out.

The response came just before 5 am at a house on Reist Avenue near Banker Street.

Firefighters say that someone had put out the fire before crews arrived.

The house suffered minor damages and there were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Bengals to open training camp in Dayton July 27

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Zac Taylor era officially kicks
off as Bengals Training Camp opens on Saturday, July 27 at Welcome Stadium in Dayton.

This is the first of 11 Bengals practices that are free and
open to the public, with the remaining practices taking place in Cincinnati.
The full training camp schedule will be released Tuesday.

Driver runs after SUV hits apartment in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are looking for a driver who left the scene of a crash in Dayton early Wednesday.

It happened around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday on Catalpa Drive, near Salem Avenue.

An SUV ran off the road and hit an apartment building. The driver of the SUV ran from the scene.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Man hospitalized after being hit by car in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man was hospitalized after being hit by a car in Dayton early Wednesday morning.

It happened just after 1 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Forest Grove Avenue and Philadelphia Drive.

Authorities say the man was breathing and conscious after being hit.

He was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Authorities have not released his condition, or what led to the accident.
