Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following accidents:

10:19 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, Packerton Road, Silver Lake. Driver: Kelly A. Cull, 46, Pippin Court, Columbus. Cull’s vehicle went off the road and struck a Frontier phone box and a fence. Damage up to $2,500.

State Sen. Mishler Welcomes Local Students To Statehouse

INDIANAPOLIS — State Sen. Ryan Mishler (R-Bremen) welcomed seven students to the Indiana Statehouse as Senate pages in January.

The following students served as pages: Anna and Ella Denham, Warsaw, home-schooled; Ryan Gadziola, Plymouth, St. Michael Catholic School; Katherine Josellis, Warsaw, Warsaw Community High School; Jacob Kissling, Warsaw, Warsaw Community High School; and Sutton and Sydney Victa, Warsaw, home-schooled.

Sarah A. Gilbert

Sarah A. Gilbert, 53, formerly of Churubusco, went to be with the Lord and her parents on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020, at Sacred Heart in Avilla.

Born in Whitley County, on April 23, 1966, to the late Edward and Freda (Wise) Gilbert. She spent her formative years in Churubusco and attended Smith Green Schools and Park Hill Learning Center.

Sarah was known for her work at the Ramble Inn and McDonalds. She was proud of her work at Cuno, Inc., in Churubusco

Elkhart County Woman Told Daughter She Was Sick, Police Say She Lied

GOSHEN — Shocking accusations against a local woman whose daughter captured the hearts of many. Court documents accuse that Goshen mother of faking her daughter’s terminal illness to get money.

Police say Marianne Edmiston used her daughter to get cash.
