My Drupal site on a VPS was intermittently sluggish. Here were the things I tried.

VM Memory Size

I bumped up the VM from 1.5G to 2.5G of RAM (max for the particular VPS and OS I’m using). No appreciable improvement. Top (in Ubuntu) shows biggest memory consumer is mysqld at 8.3%. Only two things really running are apache2 and mysqld.
